Reading helps us write

Creative Writing is only exciting to write if we (and our readers) see something new in the story we tell. We rely on inspiration to get us “dreaming” about the journey we guide our reader on.  Your best source of inspiration is a “creative person” (might be a musician, an artist, dancer etc.) whose work you truly love. In my own regard the best “3 part sermon” ever written is “A Christmas Carol” by the wonderful Charles Dickens. The redemption of a monster into a Prince Charming. Black to White. Evil to Good. Hatred to Love. Spiteful to Kindness. Wasted to Useful. Ugly to Beautiful. Judgemental to forgiving. Indifference to extreme love and caring. War  to Peace.

Inspiration NOT mimicking, reproducing, regurgatation, but seeing “something” for the first time. This will write your opening chapters for you.
